The anger is usually there. Because if the ice-cold water has to be wiped out of the refrigerator permanently, that is no pleasure. But how does the water get into the refrigerator? With a little background knowledge, the secret will be quickly revealed, so that the problem can be tackled at the root.
How does the water get into the refrigerator?
Water comes into the refrigerator mainly through the warm air. Warmed air usually contains more moisture; more precisely, warm air can hold more moisture than cold air. This fact can best be observed in nature when it is snowing. If it is bitterly cold and the temperature is well below 32 ° Fahrenheit, it will only snow very little. But if it is just 32 ° Fahrenheit, the snowfall will be much thicker.
Another example is cold drinks that are removed from the refrigerator. The moisture in the warm ambient air will condense on the cold surface of the drink. Even though the bottle was kept dry in the refrigerator, once it has been taken out of the fridge, the outside can quickly become damp.
If warm, moist air gets inside the device when the refrigerator is opened, this air will gradually cool down there. And since cold air can absorb less moisture than warm air, this moisture has to go somewhere. As a result, the water condenses in the coldest place in the refrigerator. And that is usually the back wall, as the refrigerators are hidden behind it. After the water has settled on the back wall, this water has to go somewhere. There is a drain in the fridge for this. But if this is clogged, then the water, following gravity, runs to the deepest point: under the vegetable compartment.
Tools and preparation
Fortunately, you don’t need a lot of tools and even less material to keep the water out of the fridge permanently. Because no spare parts are required for this repair. A cleaning brush for refrigerators and cloth is sufficient for this repair.
First of all, the water under the vegetable compartment is sucked up with a cloth and removed. Ideally, the vegetable compartment itself should also be pulled out. But always nice and slow! Because anyone who has ever had to endure a flood of ice-cold water knows how uncomfortable it is.
Then the bottom refrigerator compartment is emptied and removed. Because behind it is usually the drain for the water condensed on the back wall.
Clean the refrigerator drain

Also, it would help if you were not too violent when inserting because any hoses connected should not be pierced or pushed down. How can you prevent water in the refrigerator?

However, if the problem occurs more often with you or the back wall ices up, then it is advisable to check the refrigerator seal more closely.
